ALUMBRA AB has performed surface treatment for many years. Since the company has its roots in the defence industry we are familiar with complex parts with high demands upon quality and masking work. As a result of our earlier connection military standards are well known.
   
Our surface treatment facilities are completely manual, therefore we prefer complex parts with high demands in small series rather than volume.
 
We have possibilities to carry out alkali degreasing, masking, anodising and chromating of aluminium parts as well as passivation of stainless steel.

The different surface treatments Alumbra can perform are:
 

 

• Alkali degreasing in non-polluting programmable equipment.

Measures of the chamber, L x W x H = 1200 x 600 x 600 mm.
This semi-automatic device is also usable for larger series.

• Chromating of aluminium, yellow coating and colourless.

Fulfills the requirements according to MIL-C-5541 Class 1 A and 3, EN 12487 C2 and A.
Measures of the baths, L x W x H  = 800 x 600 x 600 mm.
 

 

• Sulphuric acid anodizing.

Water sealed, black dyed and water sealed or dichromate sealed.
Fulfills the requirements according to SS-ISO 8078, SS-ISO 8079, SS-ISO 7599.
Bath volume approximately 800 litres. Working area, LxWxH = 400 x 400 x 400 mm.

 

• Passivation of stainless steel SS2346 (303) or SS2343 (316).
